How to use Triangle Time: Making Pictures

  • 1. Start with Picture Challenges

    Begin by looking at the challenge sheets and try the 20 picture puzzles.

    We recommend starting with the first three puzzles (No. 1–3), which include helpful guide lines to support your child in understanding basic shapes and how they fit together.

  • 2. Level Up as You Go

    Once your child gets the hang of it, move on to puzzles No. 4–20, which don’t have guide lines. These will gradually improve their ability to visualise and build shapes independently.

  • 3. Explore Creative Building

    Encourage your child to create their own shapes and pictures using the triangle pieces. They can copy the examples or invent completely original designs using their imagination.

  • 4. Support and Talk Through the Learning

    Use simple language to describe what they’re building – for example, “Look! Two triangles make a square!” This helps reinforce learning through both sight and sound.

    If your child finds a puzzle tricky, you can prepare the pieces they’ll need to make it easier. Let them place the pieces directly on the sample card or build beside it, depending on what suits their learning stage best.
