In order to solve the puzzle children will need to visualise where the best place for each piece to go is.
Step-by-step challenges
In the box are 161 puzzles divided into 10 booklets of advancing difficulty. As children progress through the number of pieces increase and the puzzles become more difficult. It is designed for use starting at 2 years old going until they are 6 years old.
Growth and a sense of accomplishment
The Cho Cho Ban comes with a small booklet that has a goals table. You can check these off as you progress through the levels. This helps children feel they are progressing with the work and gain a nice sense of accomplishment. (Note: the booklet is in Japanese)
How to use:
Remove the pieces
- Take the pieces out of the booklet
Arrange the pieces to cover the silhouette
- By looking closely at the shapes and thinking about how to combine the pieces, kids will develop their concentration and critical thinking ability.
- The more they practice the more they will naturally be able to synthesise shapes in their head.
Go from basic to advanced
- Children start the basic course at Vol. 1 and continue through to Vol. 5
- As they get better, and older, they can move on to the advanced course (Vols. 6 to 10)
Write in the achievement table
- Record your child's results in the goals page of the book. This will not only give them a positive sense of accomplishment but also increase their motivation to keep going when they get stuck.
