Skills to be developed with Memory Chip 1

  • Memory & Concentration

Children boost their ability to focus, recall details, and retain sequences through fun, consistent memory play. These games build the foundations of strong memory and sharpen attention span.

  • Intuition & Visual Thinking

As kids scan images, match patterns, and visualise stories, they strengthen their intuitive thinking and develop the right-brain skill of visual association.

  • Language & Imagination

By telling stories, answering questions, and creating descriptions, children expand their vocabulary and become more confident communicators. Open-ended games also fuel imagination and creative thinking.

How to use Memory Chip 1

  • Linking Memory

Build Strong Visual Memory and Sequencing Skills Through Storytelling

Step 1: Start by choosing 3 picture chips and place them face-up in a row as you create a story.
Example: “A happy frog was playing in the sandpit. Out of nowhere, a giant tomato fell from the sky."

Step 2: The parent flips each chip face-down while repeating just the keywords in order.
    Example: “Frog, sandpit, tomato.”

Step 3: Flip the cards face-up one by one as you retell the story. Then, turn them face-down again and ask your child to recall the story and the order. Have your child say each word in sequence, starting with the first chip, and flip them over one by one.

Step 4: The next day, repeat the activity using new picture chips. Gradually increase the number of chips to improve memory step by step.

  • Matching and Categorising

Encourage critical thinking by grouping picture cards into categories. Ask questions like “Can you find something we can eat?” or “Which ones are animals?” Add variety with a “Which one doesn’t belong?” challenge. For example, show a group of transport images with one unrelated food card. This kind of sorting and classification sharpens reasoning, comparison, and organisation skills.

  • Search and Identify

Lay out several cards and call out an item for your child to find. For example, “Can you find the balloon?” or “Point to the apple.” You can also reverse roles by pointing at a card and asking your child to name it.

This game builds attention, vocabulary recall, and visual recognition in a quick, interactive format.

  • Story Starters and Sound Play

Use 3 cards to invent a silly story with a beginning, middle, and end. Let your child take turns telling their own version using descriptive language as their confidence grows. You can also explore early literacy by finding rhyming pairs or identifying beginning sounds.

These activities foster creative thinking, language development, and phonemic awareness in a playful way.
